About the Journal of Spleen and Liver Research
A peer-reviewed, open access platform advancing scientific understanding of spleen and liver physiology, pathology, and therapeutic innovation through rigorous research dissemination.
Mission and Vision
The Journal of Spleen and Liver Research (JSLR) serves as a premier international forum for original investigations, systematic reviews, and clinical insights into the complex biology and pathophysiology of two vital organs: the spleen and liver. As the body's largest gland and a critical metabolic hub, the liver supports nearly every organ system through detoxification, synthesis, and storage functions. The spleen, the largest lymphatic organ, orchestrates immune surveillance, red blood cell quality control, and blood storage.
JSLR bridges fundamental science and clinical application, publishing research that spans molecular mechanisms, disease pathogenesis, diagnostic innovations, and therapeutic strategies. Our interdisciplinary scope welcomes contributions from hepatology, immunology, oncology, surgery, pathology, and translational medicine, fostering collaboration across specialties to address pressing challenges in liver and spleen health.
We are committed to scientific integrity, transparent peer review, and barrier-free access to knowledge. By adhering to rigorous review standards and open access principles, JSLR accelerates the translation of research findings into clinical practice and public health policy.
JSLR publishes original research, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, case reports, and technical notes addressing all facets of spleen and liver biology and disease. Our scope is intentionally broad to capture the multidisciplinary nature of hepatic and splenic research.
